This program is an alternative to out-of-school suspension. Students attend during the hours of a normal school day and they engage in activities designed to ensure successful re-integration at school. Students are treated with grace and are valued as a child of God.
Students will have the chance to:
- Work on their classwork
- Explore possible careers
- Engage in physical education activities
- Participate in community service
- Develop behavior management skills.
The main goal of this program is to show students the importance of earning a high school diploma. This is done through the career exploration part of the program. It is the staff’s hope that the exposure to various careers will show students the importance of finishing high school.
Expectations of students while at the Bridge:
- Take care of myself
- Respect others
- Respect this place
- Be on time
- Be on task
- Listen to directions
The Zeeland Public School Code of Conduct, Middle School Student Handbook and The Bridge Youth Center policies will be followed and enforced at all times.
