The Bridging Out Program Purpose

Bridging Out provides students with a chance to take part in activities and to meaningfully engage with each other and our greater community through a variety of structured activity days, fun outings, and community service projects.

What are the Perks of Being Part of Bridging Out?

Students get to take part in fun outings & service projects that connect them to the community and many fun, rewarding outings at little or no cost.

During the school year the program takes place during our after-school program hours on selected days. During the summer this program takes place on Mondays & Wednesdays.

Students become more invested in the overall health and connectedness of our greater community.

What Happens Each Program Day?

During the School Year: Students engage in activities that are geared toward service and further exploration of fun & unique ways that they can get involved in their community. Much of the time this program is integrated into our other programs that we are already running each week.

During the Summer: Students come to The Bridge to go on fun outings in the community. Trips in past summers have included Michigan’s Adventure, going to a zoo, beach days, camp at CranHill Ranch, kayaking, and museum trips, just to name a few.

What is the Program’s Schedule?

During the school year, Bridging Out is a program that incorporates service into our existing programming.

During the summer, Bridging Out takes place on Mondays & Wednesdays with varying times.

As is true for all Bridge Youth Center programming occurring during the school year, the program meets only on days when school is in session.
